Robert Mužika-Tot aka Robbie M. was born in 1985, in the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. In his early childhood he moved to the small town of Bečej where he ultimately grew up. Even though his environment was extremely non-musical, his interest in music started at a very early age. This was mainly due to the presence of a few local radio stations that played electronic music in late night hours. In those days, in Bečej, this was the only way of getting in touch with that genre of music since organised events were very rare. In the late ‘90s he finds himself listening to psychedelic trance mostly originating from Israel. By 2002 his interest shifts to techno as he starts visiting clubs such as Bali Dance Club and Lifka, where he had an opportunity to hear various foreign DJ’s spin the hottest stuff.

Soon he discovers that he was one of those people that went to partyes just to hear what and how a DJ manipulates with the music rather than jump around with the rest of the crowd. In 2004 he moves back to Novi Sad and starts visiting local clubs. This is where he slowly turns away from techno to more mellow genres of electronic music. Later that year he starts using various DJ softwares since he didn’t have sufficient funds for a hardware setup. Through the following years, as his mixing skills improved, he started playing on smaller partyes in various city’s across the country.

Nowdays, his focus is mainly on progressive house but in his sets he tends to blend a variety of styles together. Depending on the mood, his mixes can lead from pumping ˝full on˝ progressive through tech-tribal all the way to slow, deep and dark vibes. The one thing that is always present is ˝melody˝. This is what ultimately gives a driving energy to his sets.

In the last couple of years, his mixes were featured on well known radio stations like Frisky Radio, Proton, Pure.FM, Danceradio.gr and more... Since July 2009, he hosts his own monthly radio show called ˝Let's talk PROGRESSIVE˝ on InsomniaFM (www.insomniafm.com) alongside his good friend Synthax from Hungary. The show's aim is to present upcoming DJ's/producers from the region and promote local talent to the world!
